HT by design is a family owned and operated business. We specialize in Sublimation and Laser Engraving.

When I was young my ultimate career goal was to become an interior decorator. I took classes and got my diploma by the time I finished high school. After high school life happened and I didn’t pursue it. Though I still loved interior decorating, that took a back seat to becoming a mom and wife. To this day I am thankful I was able to be a stay-at-home mom to my children while they were young.

As the years went by, I found myself at home during the day while my kids were at school with not much to do. I decided then that I needed something for myself, so I joined a direct sales company. This allowed me to break out of my shell and meet new people. I quickly started joining sales meetings and learning from those who were doing well in the business. I created a team of sales reps and started mentoring them. I enjoyed being able to take trips to places I never would have and getting awards. Even though I am no longer part of that world I am thankful for everything it has taught me.

While I was still doing direct sales, I decided to go back to school for Business Management. At that point my dream was to own my own business. I completed the courses needed along with all certifications (HR, small business management, etc.) that I could. After completing and graduating from Business Management, I found myself applying for jobs. The insurance we had for our son, who is a heart warrior, was no longer an option. So, in 2015, I ended up getting a 9-5 job to help us financially.

One year for Mother’s Day, my husband bought me a Cricut Cutting Machine. After much practice and a lot of learning, HT by design was created. HT (my initials) by design (created with purpose) is not only my business, even though it is not the store front business I wanted, it is also a journey of what I learned and will learn in the future.
